A Notice of Appeal was received by the Board on November 23, 2021 from Lehigh Hanson Materials Ltd. with respect to the November 17, 2021 decision of the Director, Regulatory Assurance Division, Capital Region, Alberta Environment and Parks, to reject Lehigh Hanson Materials’ Water Act Application No. 001-00395718 for the Nesjan gravel pit located at 22-51-03-W5M in Leduc County.
In consultation with the parties, a mediation meeting was scheduled for April 12, 2022 by Webex videoconference, however on March 4, 2022, in consultation with the parties, the mediation meeting was rescheduled to June 3, 2022.
As a result of the resolution reached at the mediation meeting, and the withdrawal of the appeal, the Board discontinued its proceedings and closed its files on June 10, 2022.
