A Notice of Appeal was received from Gary Peers on behalf of the Municipal District of Acadia No. 34 on February 11, 2015 with respect to the January 27, 2015 decision of Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development to issue to Meridian Agriculture Co. Ltd., Water Act Licence No. 00357122-00-00 to operate a works and to divert up to 2390.0 cubic metres of water annually from the aquifer accessed by water well ID 1879661 at NE 24-024-021-W4M in the Municipal District of Acadia No. 34.
The Board began processing the appeal when on March 12, 2015 Mr. Peers withdrew his appeal on behalf of the Municipal District as the Municipal District had reached an agreement with Meridian Agriculture. On the same date the Board discontinued its proceedings and closed its file.
