CERTIFICATION ORDER
WHEREAS, the Associated Designers of Canada was certified under the Status of the Artist Act by the Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal on January 4, 2002;
AND WHEREAS since April 1, 2013, the Canada Industrial Relations Board is responsible for the administration of Part II of the Status of the Artist Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations hereby confirms that the
ASSSOCIATED DESIGNERS OF CANADA
is certified to represent a sector composed of all set, costume, lighting and sound designers throughout Canada, who are independent contractors engaged by a producer subject to the Status of the Artist Act, within the live performing arts industry, excluding:
a. set, costume, lighting and sound designers engaged by a producer subject to the Status of the Artist Act in a production presented in the province of Quebec;
b. set, costume, lighting and sound designers engaged by the French language theatre department of the National Arts Centre.
AND that, for the purposes of section 28(2) of the Status of the Artist Act, the original date of the certification remains January 4, 2002.
