CERTIFICATION ORDER

                                                                                               

            WHEREAS the Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal issued an order under the Status of the Artist Act dated on January 30, 1996, as amended on July 28, 2000 and on June 8, 2001, certifying la Société des auteurs de radio, télévision et cinéma;

            AND WHEREAS since April 1, 2013, the Canada Industrial Relations Board is responsible for the administration of Part II of the Status of the Artist Act;

            NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board herby confirms that the

SOCIÉTÉ DES AUTEURS DE RADIO, TÉLÉVISION ET CINÉMA

is certified to represent, for the purposes of professional relations with all producers subject to the Status of the Artist Act throughout Canada, a sector composed of:

a.     authors of original French language literary or dramatic works intended for radio, television, cinema or audio-visual media;

b.    authors who adapt, in the form of French language scripts for radio, television, cinema or audio-visual media, literary or dramatic works originally intended for another form of public broadcast;

c.     authors mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b) above when they conduct their own research;

excluding directors in their capacity as directors.

            AND that, for the purposes of section 28(2) of the Status of the Artist Act, the original date of the certification remains January 30, 1996.
