CERTIFICATION ORDER
WHEREAS the Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal issued an order under the Status of the Artist Act dated December 13, 1996, as amended on November 7, 2003, certifying the Playwrights Guild of Canada;
AND WHEREAS since April 1, 2013, the Canada Industrial Relations Board is responsible for the administration of Part II of the Status of the Artist Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Canada Industrial Relations Board hereby confirms that the
PLAYWRIGHTS GUILD OF CANADA
is certified to represent, for the purposes of professional relations, a sector composed of playwrights who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, with respect to works created in any language other than French for live performance in theatres subject to the Status of the Artist Act.
AND that, for the purpose of section 28(2) of the Status of the Artists Act, the original date of the certification remains December 13, 1996.
